DIY Sitz Padsicle

These one shot padsicles are a great way to see if sitz baths are for you, and are great to use at any point during the postpartum period. A herbal blend used to sooth a perineum, a “padsicle” can also be used to alleviate pain or discomfort associated with haemorrhoids.

Here is how to make yours:

Step ONE: Boil 1 cup of water and empty contents of glass vile into tea post or bag to steep. Unwrap Pad. (Keep the wrapper!!!)

Step TWO: Steep for 5 minutes and pour into shallow pan or bowl ( be sure to strain the actual herb mix out leaving only steeped water.)

Step THREE: Allow mixture to cool before submerging pad into mixture.

Step FOUR: Remove pad from sitz bath, wringing it out slightly so that its not saturated. Re-wrap pad, place in a zip lock baggie, and freeze!

Step FIVE: Place frozen pad directly in underwear to sooth discomforts.
