A Royal Baby!

Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the arrival of their baby boy Archie!

Much speculation has been circulating about Meghan Markle’s birth, and this definitly has the doula world abuzz! Many are hoping that this coverage will shed some more light on midwives and doulas and make them a more frequent choice for expecting parents.

So let’s put this question to The Momma Village:

Did you have a birth doula? Why or why not?

or

Do you plan to have a birth doula? Why or why not?

Spotlight on Services

The team at Mountain Momma Collective Ltd. aims to meet the needs of the communities we serve. Over the years we have tried different packages and services to see what works best.

For example, we have seen the need for perinatal mental health support in Simcoe, Grey and Bruce Counties. We now have 2 counsellors who specialize in maternal mental health and well being (who may be covered by your private health insurance). Complimentary intake appointment and online booking for all clients.

We also have mobile, in-home IBCLC Lactation Consultants who are also RNs. They eliminate the need to take your baby to a clinic and their services are covered by private health insurance. Online booking for all clients.

Today we want to know which service(s) you value or valued the most at the beginning of your parenting journey - from pregnancy, to birth, and the early postpartum period. We also want to know what you think might be missing from our community.
