Breastfeeding is a skill that takes time and patience to learn.
MMC's prenatal class "Breastfeeding Beginnings" will speak to the health benefits of the breastfeeding parent and baby, the anatomy of the breast, what hunger cues are, how to initiate breastfeeding, positioning and latch, and bonding with your baby through feeding.
This class will leave you feeling confident in your ability to feed your baby from birth.
Who: For expecting people and support persons preparing to breast/chest feed their baby.
Location: MMC Community Room at the Barrie Women's Wellness Centre | 630 huronia road Barrie, Ontario
Cost: FREE to valid OHIP card holders. All attendees must bring their Health Card to the event. Please contact MMC if you wish to attend and do not qualify for OHIP coverage.
